Review by hotel critic
During a recent weekend getaway, I had the great pleasure of staying at Bray Head B&B, a hidden gem nestled close to the picturesque Bray Beach. The accommodation beautifully balances comfort and charm, featuring a cozy double room complete with an electric kettle and a seating area that felt akin to a warm embrace after long days of exploration. As an archaeologist, I often seek out places that offer both comfort and character, and this lovely B&B did not disappoint. The renovated interiors radiate a sense of history while providing modern amenities like streaming services on a flat-screen TV. With easy access to the National Sealife Aquarium and Powerscourt House, the location is perfect for immersing oneself in both nature and culture. Though cooked breakfasts were not on offer, I found the delightful assortment of fresh croissants and the convenience of enjoying breakfast in my room quite charming. My experience was significantly enriched by the exceptional hospitality of the hosts, who truly make you feel at home.
